This is an eight-show event between the states of Alabama, Northwest Florida, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The purpose of these shows is to promote the showing of palomino horses between these states, but any exhibitor from any state may also enter.
The following rules will apply for all states and horse shows:
Each state will designate one of their regular horse shows to be the Southeast Gold Challenge Show.
To qualify for the year-end awards, an exhibitor must show in 4 of the 8 approved shows for the states.
On weekends of 3-day shows, an exhibitor is required to show 2 of 3 days to have that weekend count. An Exhibitor must show both days of a 2-day show in order for the weekend to count.
Each of the 8 states will pay $250.00 for the Year-end Awards, and this fee is to be paid to Southeast Gold Challenge Series in care of Carol C. Goble by May 1st of the year for the Challenge Series (to be deposited in the designated bank account as noted in the following rule).
Each Amateur or Youth nominee will pay a one-time fee of $25.00 per horse/exhibitor combo per award area. Each Open nominee will pay a one-time fee of $25.00 per horse for each award area. These fees will be deposited in a special bank account designated as the Southeast Gold Challenge Series Account.
Carol C. Goble has been appointed to tabulate the Year-end points, and also to manage the special bank account.
Results/points for each nominated horse/exhibitor for each of the participating states’ shows must be sent to Carol Goble, designated point secretary, within 21 days after the show in order to be tabulated. There will be a $50.00 penalty for each state not meeting this requirement. This penalty would have to be paid by December 31st of that year, or a $100.00 penalty would be assessed and added to the $250.00 nomination fee for that state to be allowed to participate the following year.
